AutoLogicTools was founded by Vincent Fisk, an automotive locksmith and shop owner in San Diego with extensive hands-on experience working with vehicle keys, immobilizer systems, electrical problems, modules, programming, diagnostics, wiring-related problems, and real-world vehicle repair situations.
Working with vehicles every day makes the gap clear between the information a scan tool or vehicle gives you and the information a driver or technician actually needs. Vincent built AutoLogicTools to help close that gap and make confusing automotive information easier to understand and use.

A generic OBD-II code does not identify a failed part by itself. The same diagnostic trouble code can have different causes depending on the vehicle year, make, model, engine, powertrain, software, emissions package, and other configuration details.
