What does P0569 mean?

P0569 covers the coast command — the input that asks cruise control to reduce speed gradually and adopt whatever speed the vehicle has fallen to when the control is released. It is the least glamorous member of the family and, on most vehicles, by a considerable margin the least used. That last fact turns out to be the most diagnostically useful thing about it.

Contacts in a switch assembly fail as a function of how many times they have been operated. Set is pressed at the start of every journey; resume is pressed every time traffic clears.
