Brake Valve and AWD Control Codes (Application Dependent) (12 codes)

12 related fault descriptions. Use each full code and the exact vehicle service information to identify its circuit, monitored condition, and required tests.

What these codes mean

This guide compares brake-valve and driveline-control interpretations that depend on the vehicle. It preserves twelve individual code pages. A number that identifies an ABS valve in a legacy system can refer to a different function on a newer application; use the complete manufacturer DTC and reporting module before choosing a test.

The Opel Speedster/Vauxhall VX220 ABS430 document explicitly covers model years 2001–2003. It pairs C0060/C0065 with left-front outlet/inlet valves, C0070/C0075 with right-front outlet/inlet, C0080/C0085 with left-rear outlet/inlet and C0090/C0095 with right-rear outlet/inlet. That mapping does not establish universal valve numbers or wheel circuits for other makes and years. For Saab2006 9-5 ESP, C0141/C0146 name left pressure-increase/pressure-relief valves and C0151/C0156 the right counterparts. Saab2004 9-3 ESP instead describes C0141/C0146 as left-front/right-rear feed/cut-off channels and C0151/C0156 as right-front/left-rear feed/cut-off channels with their complete suffixes. These diagonal functions do not locate solenoids at individual wheels, and the two models do not have identical fault responses.

For 2025–2026 Equinox/Terrain examples, GM instead discusses C0090.72/C0095.72 with the AWD actuator-control system. These are not instructions to replace right-rear brake valves. GM’s June 2025 service information points those applications to bulletin 25-NA-165. Match current vehicle service information and the actual suffix; a dated preliminary investigation is not a universal repair plan.

An ABS valve channel describes a hydraulic function, not necessarily an external harness routed to that wheel. Coils and drivers can be internal to the modulator/controller. Distinguish external supplies, grounds and connectors from internal circuits using the installed schematic. A promptly returning code, passing output command or normal static resistance does not establish a failed module or prove the rest of the system healthy. Companion hydraulic/mechanical faults still require their specified investigation.

Do not directly energize unknown valve pins or use automated bleeding as a substitute for electrical diagnosis. Electronic-module service, hydraulic opening, combined-unit replacement and AWD repair can have different bleeding, programming and calibration requirements. Repair the confirmed serviceable fault. Judge driving from the actual brakes, steering, driveline symptoms and warnings; stop safely for a red brake warning, leakage, abnormal pedal or reduced braking.

Identify the circuit on your vehicle

Match the full DTC, reporting module, and any failure-type suffix to the service information for your exact year, make, model, engine, and equipment. An identifier alone does not establish installed hardware count, location, connector pinout, or a universal measurement.

Where the manufacturer publishes its own meaning for this code, that is the one to work from — it describes the actual component on your vehicle, which the generic definition cannot. Keep the generic description for what it is good for: it tells you which subject area the standard assigned the code to, which is useful context when the two appear to disagree. If they do disagree, follow the manufacturer.

About This Diagnostic Information

These guides provide general diagnostic context. A trouble code records a condition detected by a control module. It does not automatically identify a failed part, and the right diagnostic procedure can vary by vehicle.
